Fuji’s story has many ups and downs, just like the 3 characters that have been released, but Fuji has multiple changes— It’s complicated. You would have to listen for yourself to know exactly how he changed. Fuji has got to be the most dangerous, yet the most gentle one of this sadistic theatre. You know the saying… the ones who don’t bark have the hardest bite. So, what gives? Seeing him cut his arm in the opening act, getting tied to the chair in act 1, having his mother die in act 2…. And having Fuji do everything in a ‘It’s essential thus I do it’ expressionless way is nothing less than moe quite frightening.
Of course, if your head is as wrongly wired as Jyuu-tan, you would be excited rather than afraid when Fuji does his yandere acts. But those who’ve played dialovers have nothing to fear. In fact, we’re used to this, right?
I was initially pretty distracted by KimuRyo’s breath intakes but when you get ‘into the swing’, you’ll see only Fuji. Only Fuji, and nothing else…. Hehehehe…
Fuji meets the owner who is looking terrified and he apologises for the other stars’ behaviour, since they had been threatening and looking down on her. As the bell for practise sounds, she follows him, saying she wants to see the practise. “To her, who had been at the receiving end of horrible treatment from the other stars, his polite demeanour was extremely welcoming to her. But she would come to know more fearful things than others’ jeering of her. It would be on stage that she would see it…. When he was receiving instruction for his character.”
He cuts his arm and blood drips on the floor, with him asking “how is this for intensity?” and saying that he felt it was best to cut his arm to make the scene. Since she tells him to get treatment, he says he will follow only if it is an ‘order’ since she has the right to do so, with him being under her charge. “Give me your order, owner… I will obey your words.” “With an expressionless face as blood dripped from his arm that hung by his side, he slowly pursued her. He was like a beautiful doll that moved, a nightmare. A theatre today, a department store tomorrow… At a time when Western culture flooded the city, this is the love story of young boys who shone as stars. Taisho Guuzou Roman, Teikoku Star, opens now!”
Act 1 “The teachings of a military man”
Fuji is heard playing his role fighting his brother. When it ends, he calls out to her from behind and she gives him a bouquet from someone in the audience. However, he intends to throw it away once he reaches his room. On the way, she is surprised he can hold a normal conversation so he says that he only cut his arm to fulfil his ‘command’, which was to be a Teikoku Star. He says he has a ‘mission’ to fulfil and is about to leave when something drops. “This bottle? Barbital.. It’s a sleeping drug. No, it is not for my personal use, but to kidnap a girl. Yes, I will use it on her and bring her somewhere. …? I did not meant it as a joke though…. I am in a hurry so I must leave now.” She stops him and tries to get the reason why he is doing such a thing, so he ties her to a chair and gags her.
When he returns, he simply unties her and comments on how her wrists are red from all the rubbing against the ropes. “Are you living? Ah, your eyes were closed so I thought, maybe…. Fuji has just returned.” “Ah, does it hurt? But if I do not touch your wrists I cannot untie you, so please bear with it.” He tells her he failed his ‘mission’ and that the girl was a lady from a noble family who insulted his father, so ‘that person’ wanted him to kidnap her. “Is it that strange that I follow my mother’s orders? Since my father and brother died, my mother is the one in command now. Since she is my commanding officer, is it natural that I follow her orders. If I do not, only punishment awaits. In other words, being whipped until the skin rips, locked in a dark cellar for days on end, being tied up and having someone verbally abusing me for long periods of time, being pushed into the water for suffocation…. Ah, you need no further explanation? Understood. If there is an order, I follow it, I am such an existence. I must be going. Ah, it is better that you do not speak to anyone about this. I would be troubled if an order comes to ‘take care’of you.”

You must think it weird that I did Fuji’s translations before Sanji. Well, the thing is, after I moved to my granny’s house, I can’t seem to find my Sanji CD. What? Ask my granny and male cousin…. to help me search….?
And risk them seeing all my
ero goods very innocent CDs and games?
Are you serious? (・∀・)
Fuji and Sanji are battling for first place in my ranking! Both of them had such sad lives…. I was already crying halfway through Sanji’s CD, though I didn’t cry for Fuji’s CD, the thing is, I like these kinds of “quietly dangerous” men. And KimuraRyo-San, もうかんぺきっすね！While I felt that the Oz voices were all kinda ‘off’ (meaning their images don’t suit their CVs), the casting for TeiStar is perfect.
And speaking of ‘quietly dangerous’, the fifth and final volume of Teistar, ‘Rei’, is one who loves the decadence of things. Maybe, he might be the most dangerous of all… Buy a copy of the CD to enjoy Rei’s slowly surfacing madness!!
