I never thought I’d be done so quickly with this game since it has so many endings, but once you get past the main story for each character, it actually moves on really quickly, because the character routes are pretty short. And probably also because this is the only thing to do apart from my thesis. This is the better option. (;´･ω･)
Flying carriages led by unicorns, Laputa-like palace in the sky, a mystical tree of life; Reine Des Fleurs is a strange medieval-fairytale-wafuu mix, with the Taisho-Kimono clothes and the Knights’ countries each holding a reference to Japan all giving taste to its setting. All strangeness is possibly overlooked just because of Usuba Kagerou’s beautiful art and the detailed scenery BG. Add to that beautiful BGMs by Love Solfege and moe-able love interests, it’s a great game!
Or, should have been.
This game was a disappointment as expected and there were so many things that really pissed me off:
I remember loving the PC version lots and decided to play the Vita version as well. Despite me disliking to re-read visual novels, I still had lots of fun with this Vita port, since the extra scenarios were really sweet and funny, and some of the Ken endings epilogues were so sad I became all teary and started annoying my hamsters by fluffing them the wrong way. (;’∀’)
There’s a new OP and ED themes for Ken/Kimi endings. Here’s the song Kogetsu for Ken ED, sung by yours truly! Ken Ga Kimi has one of my favourite song collections. As expected from Rejet!
The seven wonders of your high school as you get possessed by the spirits. How nice. (・∀・) As I mentioned in my compilation post here, Yuu Gen is a Situation CD whereby you experience getting possessed by different kinds of Japanese ghosts with the famous dummy head mic. Summer is a time where we like telling ghost stories to ‘cool off’. I’m not sure we got this tradition and my dad’s ghost stories were never frightening. (They were mostly bad oyaji jokes.)

This comprehensive map was amusing enough. The hitodama (human souls that glow like a fire) mark where each of the 6 Youkai (spirits) you come into contact with normally are. The spirits in human form, speak to you in the afternoon and lure you to themselves at night. Continue reading
*no spoiler review, didn’t type out character routes
Rolling around waiting for Re:birthday Song and Psychedelica, I was deciding between Urakata Hakuouki or Shirahana no Ori to fill my time. I didn’t like the original Hakuouki series so I didn’t bother much about this game when it was released, thinking it would be a milking of the series again, but upon checking out the website, decided to play Urakata, and I love it.
This includes elements of a Map search where you can take requests from the townspeople or the playable characters to raise their affection points / get items to increase your stats.
While this is somewhat like Hanayaka Nari’s map system where the maid goes about the town and the mansion to fulfil requests, this system is much easier to use and more straightforward, where the requests you accomplish have a direct effect on affection points Continue reading
To be blunt, it was nothing great despite all the hype they gave it. I’ve never criticised any rejet product before since they have always been rather innovative with their projects. The only other thing I didn’t like was them (my thinking, at least) going “Ooh, look, our teistar stuff is selling well, let’s resell bws, since they are by the same artist, and even so, the limited version only!!” But I was kinda Oh, okay. Just use the money to make more good stuff…. Which they did… coming up with interesting new series.
I’d recommend it to hardcore KENN fans (you’d be sure KENN’s company had some part to play in this), margi4 fans and those who have money to spare, but my friends who’ve bought it are all lamenting over the contents. For a start, I thought we would have some KgK and dialovers in it. But, we got nothing about dialovers other than the cover. And KgK was one pin-up poster which we’ve already seen.
As per the instructions….
(I edited the picture a little to blend the ends together)
Wow, way to go Oz makers! This was a nice idea, but it doesn’t make me any more or less interested in Tenma’s CD.

An update for this, finally! Good news for those who have been looking forward to this, and while we know nothing of the release date, I’m hoping it will be around Christmas. I’m looking forward to Re: more than Un: but I shall not make any hasty judgements… for now.
“I will sing the song that you will hear last…….”
A normal highschool girl suddenly has two men appear in front of her one day. With strange appearances, they tell her that she has only one month left to live. Introducing themselves as shinigami, they have come to tell her of the limit of her lifespan.
She accepts the fate that has come upon her suddenly, but before she gives her life over to the death gods, she has a wish that she absolutely wants to come true……..
That is, to tell her feelings to the boy she has one-sided feelings for. Continue reading
Game Review here: https://jyuuguchi.wordpress.com/2015/03/25/rebirthday-song-game-review/
Hohoho! They revealed the cast and here I am again on my off day, awaiting the later half of the year so I can play all those games….
This series is split into two games. This post is for Re:Birthday song that releases in Winter. The heroine is a shinigami candidate at a school, and all her playable characters are also shinigami candidates, whose age is that of which they died in real life. And I love the design of this heroine. Short hair! I mean, when did we ever get a short-haired heroine?
The heroine Cocoro did not choose a partner and as a result, ends up almost failing. She then has to attend some remedial class and there meets a few boys who have their own circumstances… and she ends up having to pair up with one of them. Will they successfully become shinigamis or…?
She’s naive but energetic and speaks to everyone without fear of rejection. She died on the day of her 17th birthday, and since then has been trying to become a shinigami. She fails at everything she does, but tries her best nevertheless. She knows little about herself since she has confused memories from her time in the living world. Continue reading
I bought this together with my Dengeki issue 7 though this issue was released May 20. And to top it off I read Dengeki first since they had illustrations of more Rejet stuff. So it’s kinda late, but let’s get down to flipping through this issue. (As I spoon matcha ice cream into my mouth) I intend to scan some of the pin-ups and post them up at a later date, so don’t get put off by the reflections (^^ゞ
1) Reine Des Fleurs
It’s a special scoop! This issue’s special feature is on Reine (Which is why I even bought it (^_^;) Since I didn’t do a web-intro on Reine, I might as well do a little here. CGs here are not on the official web yet. Sneak peek!
This is (one-half, one-side of) a two-side two-page pin-up. Leon’s holding a wine glass on the right side of this page, and the back of it is a short story. (Gaah–!! Mendokusai!!)
I know I said no more reviews until end of April, but I’ve completely abandoned my work for next week, since I’m going to go crazy soon. This is another one of the backlots I’ve been dying to play but never got around to it. Another original idea by RejetxOtomate! I just had to play this (smirks)
The heroine being unable to pass her other high school entrance exams due to either having had fever or seriously bad muscle aches from entertaining loser guys at her middle school, ends up in Mogura Gakuen, and starts the first year of high school, meeting 8 boys from her class known as the ‘Zannen Boys’ (Pitiable boys)
The school principal tells them the school has a debt of -8 million and is going to get torn down if the number of couples in the school doesn’t increase, because the government will give the school financial aid if more couples are formed during the first year. (wth lol) In comes the heroine’s homeroom teacher who has a 35 year loan on his back from buying a mansion and begs the class to start dating so he won’t get fired from his job. The students start introducing themselves one by one and first comes:
Tall and not bad looking, he stands up to introduce himself and-.. DA HELL?! He has the high pitched voice of a girl or kid! He tells everyone to rely on him should they need help and that he’s a leader-type of person, but despite all these, the heroine instantly thinks ‘it’s pitiable… his face and voice don’t match at all!’ A good friend with Otohiko.
