I’m so glad I played this after Hyakka Yakou since Hyakka would go down to a 1 star if I played this first. To prevent spoilers, I’ll put up only really irrelevant CGs and those already on the website. If you get spoiled you’ll hate me. I think it’s been a while since I’ve been so interested to finish a game by a few all-nighters. This is going to be a guide more than a summary, since I don’t want to spoil those who intend to play this game. So when you see a blank space, just scroll all the way down for my system guide (this is really important), mini-game guide video and play order recommendation.
I was really interested in this game for a couple of reasons, and whether they were proved right in the game is for you to find out (if you do play it).
1) This is a creepy escape game whereby the characters fall in love by protecting each other
2) I felt that the heroine would have an evil side
3) Hikage seems to have a power eye and Hikage & Yamato are smashing hot
Love Don Love Don Love Don,
Love Don Love Don Love Don!!!
The song is just too catchy and I swear I wasn’t the only one spamming comments similar to the above while watching the Live Event. (・∀・) The colourful pop and slightly comic-styled art is also perfect for a school themed CD!
As I mentioned in the compilation post, Love Don Quixote is a Situation CD where the man Kabe-Dons you. (Your back is against the wall and he places his arm(s) to stop you from escaping.) The heroine enters St. Don Quixote where the student council is rumoured to consist only of handsome men. She gets involved in an incident quickly and has the student council members take an interest in her. She then become a fledgling for the student council, but one of the school rules is that a relationship is forbidden! Here starts a secret love with your seniors! Continue reading
Game Review here: https://jyuuguchi.wordpress.com/2015/03/25/rebirthday-song-game-review/
Hohoho! They revealed the cast and here I am again on my off day, awaiting the later half of the year so I can play all those games….
This series is split into two games. This post is for Re:Birthday song that releases in Winter. The heroine is a shinigami candidate at a school, and all her playable characters are also shinigami candidates, whose age is that of which they died in real life. And I love the design of this heroine. Short hair! I mean, when did we ever get a short-haired heroine?
The heroine Cocoro did not choose a partner and as a result, ends up almost failing. She then has to attend some remedial class and there meets a few boys who have their own circumstances… and she ends up having to pair up with one of them. Will they successfully become shinigamis or…?
She’s naive but energetic and speaks to everyone without fear of rejection. She died on the day of her 17th birthday, and since then has been trying to become a shinigami. She fails at everything she does, but tries her best nevertheless. She knows little about herself since she has confused memories from her time in the living world. Continue reading
Sorry for being too free. So what’s the surprise about this whole Jyuzaengi2?
The characters gather to hear about the results of the popularity contest, and it is revealed that there will be a situation CD released based on one of these themes:
A date / Marriage interview / master and servant / looking after him when he’s sick and …….
So who won the popularity contest? Continue reading
The system got better here, without having to complete the Peach Garden to move on in the story, and the fiery home background was really to my liking. The music was the same as the first game, with few more addition of tracks at different places and more character themes. I didn’t like this OP as much as the first game, as Takagaki Ayahi’s vocals here were horrible. Her high note was really forced and jarring to the ears. I never really liked her singing voice, though her continuing in the music industry proves to me that the seiyuu industry sells whatever they can to push up the reputation of seiyuus….
Take note that while the two Jyuza games have never-dying never-aging characters, the real battles spanned around 24 years. This game did make me quite amused, as out of all Chinese history, to this day the battle at Chi Bi remains one of my favourites.
First, since the Chinese and annoying Japanese readings of the characters are quite different, let me re-introduce them, (with random historical bits I remember thrown in)
Liu Bi Army
Liu Bi – Is read Liu Bei in the Chinese way. He was the first emperor of the three kingdoms and known for his benevolence to the country people.
Kan U – Guan Yu. Was a GUY, and was a criminal who fled from his country rofl and joined Liu Bei’s voluntary army. He is worshipped as a god by some Chinese religions.
Chou Hi – Zhang Fei, eventually married Ka Kou En’s niece. His daughter married Liu Bei’s son and became a queen. (Please imagine this game’s Chou Hi doing that. rofl) Continue reading
Oh. Goodness. Quinrose has me interested…. They have a new concept – Mermaids! Finally breaking free from their aha-haha Alice, here comes a new fairytale
like Ariel from Disney. And what can I say… I LOVE NAVY BOYS (*´Д`)ﾊｧﾊｧ Please don’t think Jyuuguchi is a hentai. I just have an absurd fetish for military(especially navy) and uniforms. I used to go to the pier on my bike where the navy boys were and…..
Ok, that’s quite hentai. But let’s leave it for another day.
Mermaid Gothic: Before turning into bubbles and disappearing…..
Heroine: Lydia Greene
Former mermaid princess. Having commited the sin of ‘giving blood to humans’, she was locked in a tower for ten years. She loves to sing and do other fun things, but hates tragedic stories and the feeling of losing. Perhaps feeling an instinctive threat to herself somehow, she hates cats.
Chronostacia’s review/translation/summary/walkthough/guide/whatever-you-call-it. Is here.
The system controls are Otomate-idiot proof, and pretty with all the cogs, especially when you set it on auto mode. If there is a town scene, there will also be random flower petals flying all over the screen (all year round lol). The system music wasn’t as good as they set it out to be on the website, with an OP and ED not very to my liking… but at every click there will be a sound of a clockhand moving. The art of course is lovely, and glowy, suitable for this theme.
Alright enough of me ♪～ <(ﾟεﾟ)> Here goes.
CG video X Norn9’s insert song! (I saw the similarities and just HAD to do this :p)
Gather the roses, maiden Continue reading
