I remember loving the PC version lots and decided to play the Vita version as well. Despite me disliking to re-read visual novels, I still had lots of fun with this Vita port, since the extra scenarios were really sweet and funny, and some of the Ken endings epilogues were so sad I became all teary and started annoying my hamsters by fluffing them the wrong way. (;’∀’)
There’s a new OP and ED themes for Ken/Kimi endings. Here’s the song Kogetsu for Ken ED, sung by yours truly! Ken Ga Kimi has one of my favourite song collections. As expected from Rejet!
This is a pretty old game, and I got interested in it because of the art, and others mentioned it in comparison to Senjou Waltz. Honestly, though this game had a gold rating, and Senjou a silver rating, I think Senjou did better. I’m ambivalent though, because the content of this game is a bit more interesting then Senjou, and the heroine actually did kill someone, but there is too much lacking in this game to match up to its gold rating.
For one, In many ways, the writing for this medieval-set war game was pretty bad. I mean, coffee and hot dogs at the military camp site? Come on. The fact that they threw many elements of modernism was not the problem of the game Continue reading
Another non-spoiler because sorry I am too lazy to write out the summary for such a long game and honestly the character routes are not worth writing about. I actually forced-skipped through them except for MinJye and Souta.
Possession Magenta in a nutshell:
殺すうううううう。I’ve been up late recently trying to finish this game and this fella is more noisy than normal when I’m awake wwww Continue reading
Introductions for this game (character, story) are here.
The theme of the story is “Sanzen sekai no shigarami wo koete, nushi to jiyuu ga mitemitai” (I wish to cross the bondages of three thousand worlds and be free with you my loved one) which plays on the original song penned by Takasugi Shinsaku: “Sanzen sekai no karasu wo koroshi, nushi to asane ga shitemitai” (I wish to kill the crows of three thousand worlds and try sleeping past morning with you”. The courtesans who were trapped in their brothels, either by debt or having been sold by their parents or relatives never had interactions with their guests past that one night, so even if someone they loved bought them for a night, they were unable to spent any more time with them, and this song became a popular ‘lovesong’ for the courtesans of that time.
After playing the game, I also noticed the clever play on Hyakki Yagyou (The legend of the head of the spirits leading the demons in a procession across the human world) and a similar theme turned up in Hakuren’s route. Continue reading
Omatase~ Somehow this word reminds me of Pash who acted like an Onee in the Senjou no Waltz drama CD from the limited edition. Think i might post a short clip about that sometime soon. (Ishikawa Kaito’s a gem, really) Took me sometime to get started on typing out Rejet’s November CDs: I got lazy because I was replaying some old psp games. I’m gonna leave Code:Realize for New Years… since once I meet my family in Tokyo from this weekend to Christmas, everyone’s leaving the country or going to different prefectures after that, leaving me
lonely with my 2D men. Sorry for that long ramble. People just get sad when it’s cold, and there’s nothing in the fridge except that can of alcohol that’s gonna make me even more hungry. I want hot, juicy, salty grilled chicken, like NAU
Them sparklies on the CD!!
Like I mentioned in some previous post, the packaging and design for Sacrifice’s CD is gorgeous, coupled with the fact that there’s a Continue reading
Game Review here: https://jyuuguchi.wordpress.com/2015/02/22/otomate-hyakka-yakou-game-review/
Finally we have a little more information about this game, the still scenes were released today, together with sample voices. It’s been around 2.5 months since the official website was opened, I thought I’d do some introductions, since no one seems to have done it yet.
The stage is the Hanamachi (Japanese direct translation: flower district, English equivalent: red-light district. Crude way to express it: Prostitution quarters), the actors are humans and ayakashi. This a story of elopement, with the freedom of the one you love on the line…….
This is the village where the world of ayakashi and the world of humans mix, “Takamagahara” (Heavens) where the glorious Hanamachi stretches on in the eternal night. The beautiful lanterns that glow brightly, the bewitching kimonos and the Continue reading
Whoa that was a helluva long title. (^_^;) レジェさんの純粋愛の物語ですか。。。そうですか。そうですか？
Hello, it’s me again. I planned to do one title everyday but I think someone else has done the introductions for Criminale so you will not hear from me again till 14/15 August. What’s going on?
You’ll see. (・∀・)
So………. Not a very well-boding title for a fairytale-like story. But ‘Sacrifice’ appears to be some kind of group/place(?) rather than the verb of being a hero. And it’s going to be kind of sad:
I hope my gut feel.
So the introductions state that it is a pure first love (Fairytale) story with the collaboration of RejetX YutakuII(Eguchi Takuya & Ono Yuuki) X Avex. The art looks like a children’s picture book! I remember seeing this artist somewhere before but I can’t remember at the moment m(__)m
Story: Continue reading
What can I say?
BRING IT ON OTOMATE. Senjou no Waltz is looking better and better with every addition they throw at us. Though…….. Some of the side characters look more interesting that the ones with routes.
I bought this together with my Dengeki issue 7 though this issue was released May 20. And to top it off I read Dengeki first since they had illustrations of more Rejet stuff. So it’s kinda late, but let’s get down to flipping through this issue. (As I spoon matcha ice cream into my mouth) I intend to scan some of the pin-ups and post them up at a later date, so don’t get put off by the reflections (^^ゞ
1) Reine Des Fleurs
It’s a special scoop! This issue’s special feature is on Reine (Which is why I even bought it (^_^;) Since I didn’t do a web-intro on Reine, I might as well do a little here. CGs here are not on the official web yet. Sneak peek!
This is (one-half, one-side of) a two-side two-page pin-up. Leon’s holding a wine glass on the right side of this page, and the back of it is a short story. (Gaah–!! Mendokusai!!)
Game Review: https://jyuuguchi.wordpress.com/2014/12/06/senjou-no-enbukyoku-waltz-review/
A young girl’s village and her father is taken away one day.
In place of that, she obtains a ‘power’, a sword that she can protect the ones important to her, which is a “demon sword”. With such a “power” that can shake the state of affairs of the country, she’s forced to live life on the battlefield. The country places her in the military school named “Nirvana”. There, country or race is not disclosed and young boys and girls who excel at fighting gather to compete. The heroine meets various people there and forms deep bonds with them and finds herself a place that she once lost. This is a story of such a girl and of “the demon sword that speaks.”
About the demon sword:
There’s a strange legend in Otesia about the demon sword. The person who wields it has so much power that it was once recorded in history that a country’s war was resolved just by a single person. But that person must have a strong resolve or the sword will take Continue reading
