Jyuzaengi Sangokuden – Summary & Review

Jyuzaengi 2 is coming soon, figured I should finish the backlot of the first game and glad I did! (It saved me after the crap called shinobi koi utsutsu) This is one of the games I truly enjoyed, with a plothole-less storyline and a cool heroine that I don’t rage at, and 6 characters with well-developed routes.

* Most CGs are in the video, my media space is filling up lol.

** Main story **

The heroine is a half breed, half human and half Cat-clan, which makes her the only one with black eyes amongst the 300+ catty people living deep in the mountains. But she’s strong, and one of the best warriors in the clan.

One day, Sousou (above) who is the Warlord of a singular province, come to the mountains to look for some bandits. (The yellow cloth bandits, seriously) He discovers the cat people and decide to make up some excuse so he can take them into custody because he knows about the strength of the cat people – they have superhuman fighting abilities, and he wants to use them for his army.

Depending on whose route you’re on, you get to interact with different characters during this scene.

In (left), Chouhi, the childhood friend of the heroine goes to stop Kakouton (blue guy) who is the sub-general of Sousou. In (right), the heroine stops Kakouton herself. In another option, you run to Liubi (below) who is the leader of the cat clan, and you protect him while the fight goes on outside.

In the end, they decide to get under Sousou’s custody and find the bandits to defeat them, so they can clear their name and go back home. They pitch tents somewhere near Sousou’s army and one night, the heroine goes out to look for the bandits. She finds the leader and its revealed he is also a cat

He is trying to overthrow the humans and make the country into the cat’s place, so he hid his ears and used the bandits. Unfortunately, he gets defeated by Chouhi and the heroine, and Sousou pops out from somewhere. Sousou says that they should slice off the ears of Continue reading

Ken ga Kimi – Review

**April 15 Edit

I was randomly surfing KgK’s official blog and found this hilarious, so I thought I’d translate and share it with you guys.

April 1, 2014 6:25 PM

Good evening、Sessha(I) am Hosoya from Rejet. (Calling himself ‘Sessha’ is what Tsuzuramaru uses to address himself)

It’s the first of April
In the world, people call it Fool’s day.

Somehow the official KgK website has been hijacked?!

Hanasaku Manimani – Review

I am so sorry for being lazy (lol). I know you guys wanted me to write a review for quite some time already, but I got distracted by Ken 8D

The video below is the ED song with CG (my own screenshots), take a look if you wanna check out the CG.

Ok first thing for this game, awesome system, but it’s a REALLY long game. Totally worth my moneh. The BGM, settings and design for the controls were really good, the best of any PSP game I’ve played so far. The opening and closing songs were also really good.

Second, the storyline was really good. The heroine is too courteous and lets people walk all over her but she has her harem to protect her from the bad guys so it’s fine. I waited damned long to play Kurama because I had to finish the other 4 characters first, but he opens up after playing any single character.

Third, the CGs pop up at good moments and made me ‘doki doki’. The art isn’t very fancy Continue reading

Kamigami no Asobi – Review + translation

//June 11 edit:

**Please support the makers of the game ‘Broccoli’ by buying the game if you like Kamigami no asobi! Stores selling this game:

-amazon (ships internationally): has second hand ones too.

-cd japan, playasia, yesasia (for international people)

-Animate, rakuten, amiami (may have some random extras with the game box but the website is in japanese and no international shipping)

-Broccoli the original game maker (no international shipping)

**some of you have asked me whether this game will be translated into English. I seriously doubt so, since they are not targeting their international otoge players. Yet.

Hokay. I LOVED this. The interface was really nice in addition to the art and music. And you also get to have a miniature box garden to put chibi characters and other items like this:

They jump around and are just absolutely cute. What items you get depends on the level of quiz you chose and how well you did in them (infinite retry system, no worries) I played around on the web and found http://www.kamiaso.com/uranai.php which gave me Toto as the Kami that suits me.

神々の悪戯 (Kamigami no Asobi) is written “The trick of the Gods” but read as “The play of the Gods”! Anime coming! Is everyone excited? 🙂

The heroine is in the third year of high school when she suddenly gets transported by Zeus one day to watch over the gods of class A through a box (with a sword) she opened in the storehouse. Zeus turns from a shota into a jiijii and tells her she is the selected human representative for his great plans. Was she shocked? A little thrown off maybe. Did she think it’s a dream and be a little cynical? Nah. In fact, she accepts the task readily and even goes around the school like a prefect preparing the Freshmen hall. Zeus wants her to help the gods understand love and humans and gives her one year to help them graduate. Continue reading

Black Wolves Saga ~Bloody Nightmare~

Insert song + some CG

Kuroyuki’s art is really nice. Rejet seems to be a company that targets older girls, with stories of dark themes and Black Wolves Saga is one of those. The BGs in BWS is always on the dark side, and while it emphasizes the characters, it also creates the atmosphere of the story very well. But the game is definitely not short of a R18  for all the sadistic scenes.

In the midst of a disease Zodiba raging through Weblin, the wolves are going around massacre-ing entire towns. As a result, a rumour spreads saying there is a witch using the disease and the wolves to kill people so she can obtain eternal life. Our heroine comes into play here, being a Rapunzel in a tower and being sickly from young, kept away from the world. She is accused of being the witch, brought into the castle on trial just before she turns 16. OF course, this is all a farce because Mejojo, the first in line to the throne is obsessed with her and wants to bring her into the castle. The heroine’s sis-con brother Nesso and her dad Edgar has refused Mejojo’s marriage proposal many times over for a couple of reasons so Mejojo and Orje utilise the rumour of the witch to bring her into the Continue reading
