ROOT∞REXX Otome Game Review

Never play an otome game for its mini game. New life lesson added to 1) never play an otome game unless interested in at least 4 of the playable characters. ***Rant ahead, be warned.

While the common route was rather entertaining in its own way, the scenario writing and interactions between the characters were boring as hell. The game is all about the world from a 16 yr old’s pov – too much of giving people too much credit for what they do and too much good in the supposedly ‘bad’ characters. The world doesn’t work that way I’m sorry, and it’s too much even for an Otoge.  Continue reading

NOISE -voice of snow- Otome game review

This is one of the most revolutionary otome games (15yrs and above recomended) because uh, the heroine gets raped by one of the love interests. And not in a bad end but just halfway through the story, mind. Obviously there are no CGs and ero acting like an R18 but…. I’m just “wow did not expect that.” It has a very different taste from the usual ‘ufufufu ahahaha’ Otomate games where things are beautified in the name of love. This is a dark game, and the prologue has the heroine Mana almost getting taken apart so her organs can be sold and later joining a criminal organization of some kind. And I can’t count the number of times she gets stabbed, bad end or not.

Furthermore Mana got kissed by someone when she was 7yrs old, so no first kiss scenes too. One of the love interests actually said “If my daughter was alive she would be a year younger than you so I see you as my daughter.” Now isn’t that a new blend you wanna try? I definitely enjoyed laughing at the reactions of people in the story.

Of course the clumsy trope and the getting saved by the prince on a white horse trope still exists, but maybe because of the setting that the heroine is involved in, the balance between the ‘danger’ of the guys and their attitude towards Mana is well planned. For once, criminals are criminals with foul mouths like “The thing at my crotch is gonna explode” when the guys Continue reading

Rejet’s new CD! Love☆Don!!☆Quixote

Love Don Love Don Love Don,
Love Don Love Don Love Don!!!

The song is just too catchy and I swear I wasn’t the only one spamming comments similar to the above while watching the Live Event. (・∀・) The colourful pop and slightly comic-styled art is also perfect for a school themed CD!

Story:

As I mentioned in the compilation post, Love Don Quixote is a Situation CD where the man Kabe-Dons you. (Your back is against the wall and he places his arm(s) to stop you from escaping.) The heroine enters St. Don Quixote where the student council is rumoured to consist only of handsome men. She gets involved in an incident quickly and has the student council members take an interest in her. She then become a fledgling for the student council, but one of the school rules is that a relationship is forbidden! Here starts a secret love with your seniors! Continue reading

Quinrose – Majoou

This game didn’t interest me very much when I saw the words ‘Demon’ and I didn’t even bother looking through the website. I thought: “Huh. Another demon thingy? Bo–ring”. But after flipping through DGS I thought ‘hell I wanna play this!!’ And so here I am, to introduce this game for RPG lovers like me.

Well it’s not an RPG but when you have a Warrior, a Mage, a Fortune Teller and the Majoou, what else tingles but your RPG senses? Throw in other random bits like a handsome prince offered as a sacrifice to you, your loyal servants who taught you swordfighting and Batou(s) you with sarcasm, what else can you do but rush to your favourite online store and pre-order Majoou?!

Story:

In a world where magic exists, a castle where the demon king lives stands alone in a deep dark forest. The heroine is the daughter of this demon king. One day, her father receives an oracle from the dark god and has to leave the castle for a while, leaving his daughter to take over the throne temporarily. However, it is a difficult position since many demons(magic users) kill humans for fun and the humans view the demons as enemies.

Will the heroine, who has feelings towards humans be able to fulfil her role…?

Jyuzaengi Sangokuden – Summary & Review

Jyuzaengi 2 is coming soon, figured I should finish the backlot of the first game and glad I did! (It saved me after the crap called shinobi koi utsutsu) This is one of the games I truly enjoyed, with a plothole-less storyline and a cool heroine that I don’t rage at, and 6 characters with well-developed routes.

* Most CGs are in the video, my media space is filling up lol.

** Main story **

The heroine is a half breed, half human and half Cat-clan, which makes her the only one with black eyes amongst the 300+ catty people living deep in the mountains. But she’s strong, and one of the best warriors in the clan.

One day, Sousou (above) who is the Warlord of a singular province, come to the mountains to look for some bandits. (The yellow cloth bandits, seriously) He discovers the cat people and decide to make up some excuse so he can take them into custody because he knows about the strength of the cat people – they have superhuman fighting abilities, and he wants to use them for his army.

Depending on whose route you’re on, you get to interact with different characters during this scene.

In (left), Chouhi, the childhood friend of the heroine goes to stop Kakouton (blue guy) who is the sub-general of Sousou. In (right), the heroine stops Kakouton herself. In another option, you run to Liubi (below) who is the leader of the cat clan, and you protect him while the fight goes on outside.

In the end, they decide to get under Sousou’s custody and find the bandits to defeat them, so they can clear their name and go back home. They pitch tents somewhere near Sousou’s army and one night, the heroine goes out to look for the bandits. She finds the leader and its revealed he is also a cat

He is trying to overthrow the humans and make the country into the cat’s place, so he hid his ears and used the bandits. Unfortunately, he gets defeated by Chouhi and the heroine, and Sousou pops out from somewhere. Sousou says that they should slice off the ears of Continue reading

Snow Bound Land – Walkthrough

☆ミ(*^_^*) Ufufufu I’ve been waiting for college exams to be over! finally after 1 week SBL is released I can start playing. ☆ミ(*^_^*) The BG of this game is so colourful! I mean, just look at the heroine’s room:

sbl1

You can also adjust the text box transparency to your liking, and the text style has a very different feel from Toki which I played recently so I was all ‘woah this!’ and ‘woah that!’ over the system ehehe. As expected of a fairytale-like story. Everytime you choose a right option, the love catch will make the guy sparkle (lol) it’s really nice. The cottage also has a hansel/gretel feel:

—————–**Basic Guide**————————–

1-While doing the prologue, up all characters’ points (2 for each character = 8 selections) and save it for a common slot so you don’t have to redo the prologue again. It helps to click-save on each selection so you can go back to it immediately if it doesn’t give you lovepoints. (In case you didn’t already know haha (・∀・) )

2-At night before leaving for red world, click save before choosing which character to encounter. (in case you make a mistake which is quite unlikely *_*) To meet Kai and Ivan, Continue reading
